I known nothing about DSM; I just automatically associate them with crank walk. What did they change after 96?

95 they changed from what is called a 6 bolt engine (1g) to a 7 bolt engine (2g) and the first year they had different crank bearings and the design was bad and caused it(crank walk). Late 96 they changed the design

Mine is actually pretty reliable. Only thing i have to do still is put new valve cover on cause this one is leaking

Crank walk is small issue with 1 and a half year of engine blocks. Fixed after 96.

My stock block and head holds 28 psi of boost. can hold more but supporting mods aren't there. Try that with an AW11 or whatever engine MR2 has.

3S-GTE’s have held above 28, I know of a daily driven 26psi car.

The first car I ever bought w/ my own money (well, financed myself, but you get the idea) was a ‘95 Talon TSi AWD. I drove it for 9 years and 90k+ miles. When I sold it it still ran and the only thing F’d up was the A/C.

Of course, the guy I sold it to immediately modded the shit out of it and blew it up.
